A tapered gland forms a watertight seal around the cable, and a closed-cell foam seal between the housing and deck provides a 100% watertight installation.All fasteners are made of 316 stainless steel to resist corrosion in marine environments, and the housing is made of tough, impact-resistant plastic with rounded edges to prevent snagging. The unit is supplied with both pre-drilled gaskets (suitable for cables with 6-10 mm diameter) as well as with a Blind seal for self-drilling supplied.
